Programme Overview

Indo British Advanced Pain Clinic offers one year comprehensive Pain Fellowship Programme. This programme focuses on comprehensive, multidisciplinary, collaborative training in the treatment of acute, chronic, and cancer pain. By the end of the fellowship candidates would have gained extensive experience in the practice of medical, interventional, physical and behavioural aspects of pain medicine. Upon graduation, trainees will be successful pain medicine physicians in both academic and community pain practices.

This state of the art pain unit with all modern equipment like Ultrasonography, Digital spinal analysis, X-Ray and Fluroscopy for diagnosis and interventions is highly regarded by the patient and medical community. This is the only inpatient pain department in the South India with onsite Physiotherapy, Psychology and Psychiatric services.

The candidates learn and gain immensely from our experts in a range of interventional procedures starting from Epidural injections, Facet injections, Nerve blocks, Radio-frequency lesioning, Cooled radio frequency ablation to complex interventions such as Neurolytic procedures, Vertebro-Kyphoplasty, Intrathecal Drug delivery systems and Spinal cord stimulation.

Journal Club

Evidence Based medicine is essential to the progress of self and the speciality. Bi weekly journal club is conducted to discuss research and guidelines on varied topics pertinent to Pain medicine.

Teaching and Research Opportunities

Learn, Practice and Teach is our motto. Every student has dedicated time for training and onsite learning. The education cycle will be complete when the trainee is presenting to seniors or teaching to a fellow trainees. Hence regular in-house academic sessions and attendance to the courses, conferences and webinars is encouraged.

Fellows will be mentored to write publications, do oral presentation and exhibit their work on posters National/International conferences.
